So, here’s the deal on me: I’m a writer living in the glorious 212 zip code, meaning I reside in the Baltimore area. I’ve lived in Maryland my entire life and rabidly support my hometown athletic teams. So, if you have something bad to say about the University of Maryland, the Orioles, the Wizards, and, to a lesser degree, the Ravens and Capitals, keep moving. There’s nothing for you to see or say here.
I love my wife and I am fiercely loyal to my family and friends and I am a faithful member of New Waverly United Methodist Church in Baltimore. I know in my heart that Stevie Wonder and Earth Wind & Fire are the greatest musical artists of all time and nothing, NOTHING will convince me otherwise.
I teach journalism at Morgan State University in Baltimore. I used to write for the Baltimore Sun and for an operation called Fanhouse, a sports website operated by AOL. I am a fiend for good grammar and I have been known to correct relatives who mangle the language.
Hope you enjoy the site and be sure and check out the Sports at Large commentary which airs each Monday between 4:45 and 6 p.m. on WYPR 88.1 FM in Baltimore.
